Trudo Lemmens named Fellow of the Hastings Center

Professor Trudo Lemmens of the Faculty of Law has been named a  in recognition of his scholarly impact.

The Hastings Center, a nonpartisan U.S.-based bioethics research institution founded in 1969, addresses social and ethical issues in health care, science, and technology. Its fellows comprise , representing a range of disciplines from around the world.

Lemmens, a professor of law and bioethics, holds the Scholl Chair in Health Law and Policy. He is cross-appointed to 缅北强奸鈥檚 Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Temerty Faculty of Medicine and the Joint Centre for Bioethics. His research focuses on the interaction between law, governance mechanisms, and ethical norms and values in health care, including biomedical research, health product development, and knowledge dissemination. His more recent work deals with issues related to human rights, disability rights, and health.
