The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences slate of nominees for the 2012 JUNO Awards is full of University of Toronto musicians.
Gracing this year’s list of nominees are alumni, faculty and ensembles of the Faculty of Music, with 10 nominations in six categories:
VOCAL JAZZ ALBUM OF THE YEAR:

TRADITIONAL JAZZ ALBUM OF THE YEAR:

•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Dave Young Quintet – Aspects of Oscar
The Dave Young Quintet includes jazz faculty members Dave Young and Terry Clarke, as well as jazz alumnus Kevin Turcotte.
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Mike Murley Septet – Still Rollin’
The Mike Murley Septet includes jazz faculty members Mike Murley, David Braid, Terry Promane and Jim Vivian, as well as jazz alumni Tara Davidson and Kevin Turcotte.
